The Fat Lady has not sung yet, and it’s not over till it’s over, but Donald Trump stands a very good chance of being reelected as president of the United States on Tuesday.

If he succeeds in winning back his old job, he will pick up the phone the first day and call… the president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum. And it won’t just be to chit-chat and trade niceties—Trump said he will inform her that he will immediately impose massive tariffs unless she does her part to stop the flow of illegal immigrants and drugs into the U.S.

'I haven't met her, and I'm going to inform her on Day One or sooner, that if they don't stop this onslaught of criminals and drugs coming into our country, I'm going to immediately impose a 25 percent tariff on everything they send into the United States of America,' he said he would threaten.

The remark earned cheers from his rally crowd in North Carolina.

Watch:

Although liberals were predictably triggered by Trump’s tough talk, he wasn’t backing down:

'They wanted $3 billion to meet,' Trump said, in a possible reference to the Department of Homeland Security's request for $3 billion from Congress to combat the migrant surge.

'They wouldn't have said that with me. I would have said, okay, you want $3 billion to meet? I'd do the opposite. If you don't give us $3 billion, I'll impose the biggest friggin' tariff ...'

Then he threatened to ratchet it up even higher. 'If that doesn't work, I'll make it 50, and if that doesn't work, I'll make it 75. Then I'll make it 100.'

He described the tough language he would use.

'You stop letting people come in through our border, and come in through your southern border, and you stop it' – perhaps acknowledging that many of the migrants had also crossed illegally into Mexico.

Then Trump claimed he wanted to wait until Monday, the day before the election, to roll out the idea, saying it was to prevent rival Kamala Harris from stealing it.

That last line cracked me up. The only decent ideas Kamala Harris has proposed have been direct and obvious rip-offs of Donald Trump. (See: no taxes on tips.)

The left loves to make the border issue all about racism, xenophobia, and hate. What they mask with their inflammatory rhetoric are the real security and economic concerns. You simply can’t let in millions of illegal immigrants—many who haven’t been vetted—and, in the same breath, say we’re secure. It doesn’t pass the smell test. Meanwhile, you also can’t simply expect the economy to absorb all these newcomers without a price. We’re all paying that price as more and more money is allocated to deal with the influx.

It's not "anti-immigrant" or racist to point out that there are major issues:

Trump is 100 percent right on this one—this problem needs to be solved, pronto. If he has to use charged language to get there, then so be it. The Harris-Biden regime has purposefully abandoned their duties, and if Trump wins Tuesday as we hope and pray, it’s time to put an end to this malarkey.
