Gwen Walz campaigns to the wire for Harris-Walz ticket

One of the best things about Kamala Harris losing is that now, Tim Walz can slink back to Minnesota and we won't have to deal with him on the national stage into the future. He's truly a hard individual to take, from gesticulations to falsehoods.

At Kamala's concession speech on Wednesday, Walz appeared close to crying.

In the final analysis, in a campaign full of failure and bad choices, picking Tim Walz may have been one of her worst choices. She didn't choose a guy who was allegedly more moderate like Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, who might have helped her win PA. She did choose Walz, who not only solidified how far left the ticket was, he added a lot of weirdness and problems with the falsehoods. He was supposed to help with the Midwest, but he couldn't even bring in his home county. He lost that to Trump.

Biden won that county in 2020, so Walz actually cost the Democrats ground.

On Friday, Walz and his wife delivered some remarks in Minnesota. He encouraged people not to take time after the loss and for them get back into the "fight."

Walz listed some things that he said he would be for, "as long as I am Governor of Minnesota":

He said that they would "welcome immigrants with gratitude" for their "contributions to the community."

Um, Tim? Illegal aliens are not "immigrants." Immigrants are the folks who enter legally through the proper process. When you equate the two terms, you are insulting and diminishing the people who did things the right way.

"As long as I'm governor of Minnesota, we'll be a state that respects democracy," Walz claimed.

"A place where we're proud of our civic debate, and where we don't demonize people who disagree with us."

Seriously? Wasn't Kamala Harris installed at the top of the ticket without one vote of the American people in the primaries for that? How anti-democratic can you get? She was the person the elites settled on, not the people. So much for democracy.

Then too, isn't this the same guy who, a couple of weeks ago, implied that Trump supporters were Nazis? Isn't this the campaign that was calling Trump Hitler and a fascist?

As long as he is governor of Minnesota, he said they would stand with workers no matter who they voted for. Well, that's good; a lot of them voted for Trump, because they don't think you stand with them.

But as weird as Tim Walz is, one of the things we found out in the campaign is that his wife is weirder still:

"I'm not sure you heard me!" she shouted. "We cannot and we will not give up this fight!" She then clapped like a seal and exhorted people to clap, "Come on!" in a "Please clap!" moment. "We cannot and we will not give up this fight," she repeated. "Alright, now sit down now," she said imperiously, as though she were the queen giving her subjects permission to sit.

Thank God Trump and JD Vance won, and spared us this couple.
