In Ukraine, mothers and children are moving west to escape the violence of war. Many bear the scars of trauma; many arrive at the city of Izmail, on the Danube River, the border with Romania. This Child Here is a Validated Ministry in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), at work in Izmail, fostering hope and healing, shaping the feelings and memories of families displaced by this war. Suffering produces endurance, character, then hope, because God is at work in this community of love and support. One mother of two children said, "You didn't just give us what we needed.
