October 10th, 2024 Morning Thoughts
Good morning, et cetera, dear Reader, and welcome to this increasingly-obscure American blog.
It's about half past four o'clock in the morning here in the MST.
Here is a short news reel with updates about Hurricane Milton:
And I join many, many others in praying for everyone's well-being (keeping those affected by Hurricane Helene in mind as well, whose dire situations become more untenable by the hour, let alone day; may God please have mercy on them all). Reader, my heart is broken for my fellow Americans as well as for those affected by the wars in Gaza and Ukraine, for all the unborn babies in the womb who may not be protected from untimely, unfair death; for ALL of our veterans here in these very ungrateful United States, and more.
What the world needs now is God Almighty. His Presence, over all! So this morning, I'm reminded of the eternal Truth that Carman sings about in this classic:
Here are the lyrics, to encourage your souls in the TRUTH, that Jesus IS LORD OF ALL!
Be encouraged, dear Reader: ours is a LIVING Hope! No matter who or where you are, no matter what you face today, I pray the Lord meet all of your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus, in Jesus' Name, amen. 💖
(updated with a link to the lyrics as promised)
