D gray Man Ch 252 and 253 are out and we will talk about them. This reaction will have spoilers. if you do not want to be spoiled then stop now and go check out the chapter online before reading the reaction If you do remember to support the official release. AGAIN SPOILERS AEHAD.

A sit down that leads us learning there is more inside Allen then Nea. Okay so recap really quick Allen after explaining his backstory to Yu is now looking to the Campbell house where Nea and Mana grew up. But in order to find he has to deal with order bookman and Lavi were apart of. The thing is they want him to tell them where was there Bookman as Allen knew another outside the black church. To answer this we are sent into the past thanks some potion.

This is chapter 252 which is short as it is basically a sit down between a bookman and Allen. Short but we need to know it. So this his all about Allen meeting Nea. Now before we went on the hunt for the Campbell house Nea appeared to Allen again saying he agreed to be his host and that he wasn’t just picked by random. This chapter highlights that as Allen is kept alive by Nea in order to fulfill a promise.

Lavi who seems to know Nea asked Allen what he thinks of him and Allen basically describes him as a demon from folklore. Someone coming to you in your darkest hour to make a deal. And Lavi aka Bookman Jr. doesn’t deny it as he says it might be right. For anyone new the series often plays with things not what they seem to be. To give you an idea what has been helping the black church against the Noah family is the weapon titled innocence that appears in some ways as the monsters of lore or curse abilities. We see with Mirinda and Arystar. One ability trapped in time loop and the other had him a vampire. But we see this as different learning more about the characters with Mirinda ability able to heal people similar to Orihime from Bleach only it is temporary. As for Arystar he only attacked akuma not people.

As such the idea of monsters is not what we think. This can be seen with how we are learning more about the Noah and innocence how there memories go back to before it was here it seems. An idea that shows Allen might have been fighting on the wrong side. So Nea being a demon might only come up as we see him as something dark now but as highlighted in ch 252 he is seen trying to learn more about himself unlike the other Noah who were waiting to continue the war as they waited for the earl.

But still we had Apocryphos find them and try to kill Allen. Try being the key word as it went wrong for him. So we see with this how Allen came to be as he is killed in a way but then is reincarnated. The way he is though is how we see him with an innocence for his left arm as Bookman is used to help rebuild his body. It is interesting as Bookman JR. If you read the chapter uses his information to high jack the innocence from Apocryphos. I mean he basically just look at it and says you can eat us both and he is right as it makes something new.

Bookman jr. knowledge of the helix of life did this. His understanding of reincarnation as I take it as it sounds like the equation for life in place of the wheel of fate in this series. I do wonder if it is the replacement or just how the bookman are taught to see this. But here we see the chapter explains Allen existence. Saying goodbye to A. W. explained Allen as a kid and who Mana really is. Here though as we see him before those events explains how this complex character with conflicting side exist. How much we see but that is where it looks like it is going and I happy to see that. We also see how these characters are bring drawn to Allen i guess you can argue Nea. The people who are intrigued thinking he may not be so bad as well as the ones with harsh ideas such as Apocryphos. Again Cool chapter to bring all that to light.
