It seems Marvels wants more of Channing Tatum as everyone card using mutant gambit. Deadpool and Wolverine introduced the idea to theaters and fans and according to Ryan Renolds Marvel has been excited about the idea ever since.

“I honestly don’t know what goes on behind closed doors in the bookkeeping sessions at Marvel, but I do know that they’re obsessed with him in that role. It’s kind of like the same situation I went through. Once you show that it works well, that’s really what they need. Sometimes they just need to see it in action.” Reynolds with entertainment weekly

This is something considering Tatum has been aching to play Gambit forever. Even offering to be the main in a Gambit movie. The thing is every time he offered to 2ist century fox it never happened. Now that not only did he get the role but the traditional outfit to go with the character it seems Tatum might be MCU Gambit if Reynolds is speaking the truth.

We will see what happens as Tatum didn’t just pick anyone to focus on but one of the coolest given Gambit does a fandom out there. But where it will go from here we will have to see.
