CatsDogBCSS, Paul C., & George Monkey Experience all scored a remarkable 97%! They all called 5 out of 6 of the categories…& their second choices won in the sixth!

The group scored 85%

The Incredibly Difficult Maven Section

Paul C. is ready for their close up with a truly amazing 96% on this section! They called almost every category (15 out of 17): in two categories, their second place choices won! Bravo!

Honorable mention to George Monkey Experience, who was close behind with 93%!

The group scored a 70%.

Overall

Those high scores on both sections led to Paul C. getting “braggin’ rights” overall, with a 97%!

The group scored 74%.

The Big Six

We called every category except for Lead Actress, where our second choice won. I’m sure a lot of people outside of the game went the same way we did.

The Incredibly Difficult Maven Section

Animated Feature: called it
Animated Short: we were surprised on this one, with our third choice winning
Cinematography: called it
Costume: an even bigger surprise, with our fourth choice winning
Documentary Feature: called it
Documentary Short: our second choice won
Film Editing: called it
International: our 3rd choice won
Makeup & Hair: we were tied on this one, and one of our first chices won
Score: called it
Song: our second choice won
Production Design: another shocker for us, with our fourth choice winning
Live Short: called it
Sound: we were way off on this, with our 5th choice getting it!
Visual Effects: our third choice got it. Even though it was my fourth choice, I cheered in my family room when Godzilla won an Oscar!
Adapted Screenplay: our third choice won
Original Screenplay: our second choice won on this one

While I didn’t have a great year, interestingly, I did call some categories the group missed. My problem was that I had a couple where I was really, really wrong!
